Scoala Gimnaziala nr.17 Botosani, Romania is a primary and secondary school, located in the NE part of Romania, in the capital city of Botosani county. It is in an area quite economically disadvantaged. We have 730 students and 40 teachers, a theatre group, folklore group, choir, a very small and not well equipped IT lab. Even though our school is ranked first in the city based on the exams in maths and romanian at the end of the 8th grade, PISA results for Romania place us in a very low position, and our school is no exception.
